Richard Gannotta, NP, DHA, FACHE is a recognized health sector leader with service in CEO / president & executive roles in some of the nation’s most prominent academic and public health systems and key strategic roles advising global med & biotech.
Currently Dr Gannotta serves as the Chief Healthcare Administrative Advisor to Masimo corp. a global MedTech company, as a principal for Washington Square Advisors and as the Senior Lecturer of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. In addition, Gannotta is a member of the Board of Directors for Avellino Precision Medicine a leading biotech & genetics company.
As noted, experience includes leadership roles as CEO (COO prior) of the University of California Irvine Health System. Senior Vice President of Hospitals at New York’s NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation’s largest public healthcare system and roles as President of Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he led hospital operations & worked closely with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and as President of Duke Raleigh Hospital, part of the Duke University Health System, as well as North Carolina-based Wake Med Health & Hospitals.
Dr. Gannotta received his BSN and NP degrees from Florida International University, MBA from Campbell University, and Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr Gannotta was a Johnson & Johnson Fellow / Nurse Executives at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. As a committed practitioner scholar, Gannotta’s area of focus revolves around the intersection of biotech innovation and healthcare delivery, its translational and rapid deployment as well as strategic, policy and economic impacts.
